CASEY CARR - FOUNDER

A former DePaul University and Conference USA All Freshmen team soccer player with a degree in finance, Carr has worked with youth and professional clubs domestically as a coach, program director, executive, advisor, consultant and board member. As a coach, he has helped develop players for more than 15+ years and has helped several players play at Olympic Development Program (ODP), US Development Academy, college and professional levels. As an advisor for the Charlotte United FC (now a part of Charlotte Soccer Academy), Carr secured a relationship with Powerade, which brought numerous product and financial benefits. At the time, Charlotte United FC was one of only 16 clubs in the country to be considered a Premier Powerade Club. Carr also served as Vice President of the Club and a Club Coach (primarily u11-u14 boys and girls) before moving on to help launch the Carolina Rapids - South Charlotte location (now part of the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club). 

He now focuses on working with players from all backgrounds and youth clubs through our CSF player development center,  school academy programs along with private and small group trainings. Charlotte Soccer Factory a club neutral program focuses on raising the level of play in Charlotte and building a true footballing culture in Charlotte, NC.  He continues to coach and develop future coaches through CSF partner programs, and highly successful player developement program, HappyFeet Charlotte. HappyFeet is a youth soccer program which focuses on developing young players ages 2-8. 

Coach Carr is also heavily involved in the growth and development of the game of soccer domestically and abroad through his through his consulting and advisory work with professional and youth teams.  In his consulting roles he has worked with several professional teams and players including working with several high profile European professional stars to launch a professional team on the West Coast, an MLS Next Pro Club, launching a professional league, and building successful camp programs and more.

In 2019 Coach Casey was announced as the President and GM of a new professional soccer team in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) called Stumptown Athletic. Carr along with Hall of Fame Coach Mark Steffens helped build a winning organization reaching the East Coast Finals in their innaugural year.  In 2023 along with friends Matt Spear (former Davidson Head Coach) and Michael Hitchcock (26 year soccer management expert, who spent 12+ years in MLS) announced the launch of a new NPSL team in Charlotte the Charlottetowne Hops FC to bring a community driven high level adult amateur mens soccer club to the area.  When he's not coaching or with the pro's coach Casey and his wife can be seen throughout town watching the game of soccer as his two boys are both avid soccer players in the Charlotte area. 

ADAM BRUNDLE - PARTNER

Adam as an experienced technical program director with a tremendous background in the sports industry has helped develop and establish CSF with Casey. As partners they have grown and launched the CSF Player Development Center and Futsal related programming along with CSF's incredbily succesful School Academy program. Originally from England where he played his youth soccer for clubs like Norwich City, before moving to the US and playing NCAA DI Soccer at Winthrop University where he earned All-Big South Conference Team. Also currently at Director for ISL where he helps lead their work with US Youth Futsal. 

 


The CSF Leadership Team:

  • Tim Tretbar - School Academy Director​.  Tim Tretbar, originally from Germany, came to the US in 2021 to get his MBA in Finance at Queens University of Charlotte and to play for their Men‘s soccer team. In Germany he played and later coached for the Bundesliga team Borussia Mönchengladbach. Tim is also currently the goalkeeper coach for Queens Men’s Soccer Team and Barca Academy. As a Director of CSF‘s School Academy he has helped grow the program and make it accessible to kids all over the Charlotte Area. Through his background and connections in Germany and Charlotte‘s German sister city Krefeld he’s helping to develop a stronger relationship between the two cities and their sport teams.

  • Scott Temmen - Player Development Center and Footprints Director.  Scott Temmen, Director of the Player Development Center at Charlotte Soccer Factory, boasts an impressive background with clubs like Stoke City and educational credentials from Liverpool University. With UEFA B and NSCAA certifications, Scott has shaped youth soccer talents across the U.S. and England. His holistic approach to development ensures PDC athletes not only enhance their soccer skills but also grow in character and teamwork.

CSF Coaches:

  • Josh Stephenson - Works with CSF Player Development Center (previously - Junior Academy) players, grew up playing for CASL (now NCFC)
  • Cory Adams - works primarily with our youngest players via partner club HappyFeet Charlotte, and our School Academy program.  Has Coached in Charlotte for several years including for WCWAA, and grew up playing locally with Charlotte Soccer Club (Now Charlotte Soccer Academy).
  • Asher Nore - Grew up in Charlotte playing for Charlotte Soccer Academy (ECNL programs), and Ardrey Kell High School, Ashwer works primarily with our youngest players via partner club  HappyFeet Charlotte, and through our School Academy programs.  
  • Alex Katsaduros - HappyFeet Charlotte (ages 2-5), Private and Small Group Training, Current Asst. Coach at Myers Park High School, and former collegiate player at Greensboro College (DIII)
